A
family estate located in the Côte des Bar (south of the Champagne
Appellation) and worked biodynamically since 1992. The vines take root
on clay-limestone soil and a subsoil Kimmeridgian. The vineyard's grape
varieties are Pinot Noir mainly (90% of the surface), then Chardonnay,
Pinot gris, Pinot blanc and Pinot meunier.
Has the origin of this
sparkling story, Thérèse and Alain Réaut. They have committed to the
conversion of the vineyard out of pure conviction at the time and
started the champagnisation at the same time. To find their first
customers, many of whom are still customers, they have crisscrossed the
country.
Among
the Réaut you will find a collection of old straddle tractors, which
limit the soil compaction, equipped with ingenious tools to provide care
necessary for the vine.
Among the Réaut you will find compost heaps
made by Alain from horse, cattle, hemp dust and containing the
Biodynamic preparations. A real "Panoramix" at the helm of the
elaboration of this precious "Black Gold"!
At the Réaut house, you will
find a rather original building leaning against the rock and
air-conditioned in a natural way.
Today their sons Alexandre perpetuates
this beautiful story, animated by the desire to continue to produce a
quality Champagne with Strong.
